Group E Fixtures and Results<\/h2>\n

Possibly the weakest group at Euro 2024<\/a>, on paper at least Belgium would’ve been licking their lips when Group E was drawn. However, they were only able to finish in second place on four points – the same as every other team in the group. Two surprise results on Matchday One set the tone for this group, with the Red Devils crashing to a 1-0 defeat to Slovakia while Romania hammered Ukraine 3-0. Both Ukraine and Belgium recovered to win on Matchday Two, leaving each team on three points after two games. They remained level after Matchday Three as well, with Ukraine and Belgium playing out a goalless draw with Slovakia drew 1-1 with Romania in Frankfurt, leaving the Tricolorii top of the group and the Yellow-Blue on their way home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Group E Odds<\/h2>\n

Belgium were the favourites to win Group E and will have been disappointed to only manage one win from these three games. Romania were third favourites to top the group, but did so despite not winning either of their last two games – the 3-0 win over Ukraine in their opening match gave them a sufficient cushion in terms of goal difference.<\/p>\n\n
