Denmark<\/a> managed to progress from the dour Group C at Euro 2024, but were eliminated in an entertaining clash with hosts Germany in the round of 16.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Group C consisted of four teams who all believed they have a realistic chance of making it to the knockout stages. In the end, Denmark were able to secure second spot after drawing all three games by virtue of the fact that they had a better disciplinary record than Slovenia, who they ended the group level with on points. Rode-Hvide drew 1-1 with both Slovenia and England before playing out a goalless stalemate with Serbia on Matchday Three.<\/p>\n

Denmark suffered an unfortunate couple of minutes where they had a goal disallowed and then conceded a dubious handball penalty which changed the match entirely in Germany’s favour. Denmark were eliminated via a 2-0 nil defeat after Kai Havertz converted the penalty, and Jamal Musiala added the icing on the cake with a fine finish.<\/p>\n

Slovenia were first up for Denmark in Group C and Rode-Hvide looked good for a win when they went 1-0 up in the first half through Christian Eriksen, only for Erik Janza to equalise for the Dragons in the latter stages.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Denmark will have been happier with the 1-1 draw in their second game than the one they earned in their first match. Harry Kane had given the tournament favourites England the lead in Frankfurt but Morten Hjulmand’s long-range strike secured a point for the Scandinavian side.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
