The 191st Manchester Derby bragging rights were claimed by City as they ran out 3-0 winners at their rivals home on Sunday afternoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was the hosts who came straight out of the blocks though were unable to make it count and Pep Guardiola’s visitors made them dearly pay.<\/p>\n

Erling Haaland scored another brace with Phil Foden rounding off the scoring. “The first half was a contest. The second half wasn’t a contest,” Gary Neville summed up on Sky Sports commentary. “The performance of the players…it became a shambles.”<\/p>\n

Here’s how the players rated at Old Trafford:<\/p>\n\n

Manchester United<\/h2>\n

Andr\u00e9 Onana – 7 – <\/strong>Pulled off what Neville described as a “strange” save to deny Haaland early on but he couldn’t stop the Norwegian marksman penalty even receiving a yellow card for attempting to put him off. Somewhat made amends with key saves but couldn’t prevent Haaland from putting City 2-0 up.<\/p>\n

Victor Lindel\u00f6f – 5 – <\/strong>Another outing as Man Utd’s left-back and to be fair the Swede relished this unfamiliar role with him bombing down the flank to support Rashford.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jonny Evans – 4.5 – <\/strong>A clumsy tackle on Grealish summed up Evans’ day.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Harry Maguire – 4 – <\/strong>Nervy performance from the England international who came into this weekend’s game riding on a wave of confidence.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diogo Dalot – 4.5 – <\/strong>Took up some interesting positions in City’s half when United were on the front foot but left a lot to be desired from a defensive perspective.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Scott McTominay – 6 – <\/strong>Had the game’s first real chance when he found himself bearing down Ederson’s goal but could only scoop the shot straight at City’s ‘keeper. He nearly ended the opening half with United’s equaliser.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sofyan Amrabat – 4 – <\/strong>Once again deputising for Casemiro and much like his absent teammate plays with his heart on his sleeve which got him into trouble.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford – 5 – <\/strong>Started promising but it has yet to click for last season’s most valuable player.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Christian Eriksen – 4.5 – <\/strong>Barely mentioned on commentary. He was there in order for United to gain a semblance of control but as soon as City grew into the game Eriksen was hardly seen.<\/p>\n

Bruno Fernandes – 4 – <\/strong>Had a speculative effort from a distance but apart from that Fernandes was playing on the periphery. Booked late on after losing his composure.

Rasmus H\u00f8jlund – 5.5 – <\/strong>A handful for the opposition as Hojlund was a nuisance without possession which cost United dearly when he stopped Rodri from getting the ball leading to City’s spot-kick.

Substitutes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mason Mount <\/strong>(for Amrabat 46) – 4 – <\/strong>This was his big moment but the former Chelsea man felt invisible with City thoroughly dominating the second half.<\/p>\n

Sergio Reguil\u00f3n <\/strong>(for Lindel\u00f6f 75) – N\/A – <\/strong>A late sub.<\/p>\n

    Ederson – 6.5 – <\/strong>Produced an outstanding save to deny McTominay on the stroke of half-time.<\/p>\n

    Josko Gvardiol – 8 – <\/strong>Perhaps his finest performance in a City jersey since joining from RB Leipzig this summer. “Gvardiol is having a field day out there. He\u2019s turned into Maldini,” came Neville’s verdict.

    R\u00faben Dias – 7 – <\/strong>Weathered the early United storm before settling City’s backline as they saw this result out.
    \n<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Kyle Walker – 7 – <\/strong>Getting better with age. Even towards the end, with City effectively sealing all three points, Walker remained in take-no-prisoners mode.
    \n<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Rodri – 7.5 – <\/strong>Here, there and everywhere. City’s metronomic deep-lying midfielder won the penalty which led to City going in front.

    John Stones – 6.5 – <\/strong>Taking up that now accustomed defence-cum-midfield role Stones didn’t need a second invitation to maraud up the pitch.
    \n<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Jack Grealish – 7 – <\/strong>Continually found himself down City’s left flank while doing what he does best and that is drawing fouls consequently winning free-kicks near United’s penalty area. Even better Grealish could have ended this contest with a brace.
    \n<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Bernardo Silva – 8.5 – <\/strong>Played today’s derby with an air of calm. His excellence was rewarded when he created City’s second which proved to be his fifth against United since the 2016\/17 season began – more than any other player during that period.\u00a0“Silva has been class,” said Neville. “Absolutely wonderful.”<\/p>\n

    Juli\u00e1n \u00c1lvarez – 6.5 – <\/strong>Had opportunities to get his name on the scoresheet but this wasn’t \u00c1lvarez’s day.
    \n<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Phil Foden – 7.5 – <\/strong>Uncharacteristically misplaced a pass which could have led to United’s equaliser. Aside from that Foden was a constant thorn and finished with a deserved goal.
    \n<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Erling Haaland – 9 – <\/strong>Anonymous before converting a City penalty to give Guardiola’s men the lead. He swiftly doubled their lead after the break with a brilliant header. That second effort meant Haaland now has any many Premier League goals this season (11) as Man Utd do as a team.
