Harry Maguire pointed towards his “ridiculously high” win percentage when asked about staying at Manchester United in the long term.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 30-year-old centre-back was heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the summer, with newly-crowned Conference League holders West Ham linked. The Hammers remain the bookmaker’s favourites to sign him, with Sky Bet offering 6\/1<\/strong><\/a> odds for Maguire to join before next year’s winter transfer window shuts.<\/p>\n

Since remaining part of Erik ten Hag’s squad, playing time has been limited. However, the former Red Devils skipper remains a core member of Gareth Southgate’s team, leading to some questioning his involvement. Maguire answered in defiant fashion in the build-up to England’s friendly with Australia.<\/p>\n\n

“It’s not my decision to whether I start the next game or not. I’m unsure on that. I’m sure in a couple of weeks I’ll go back and find out,” he told reporters.<\/p>\n

“If you look back on my last 15-20 starts for club and country, I would be happy to sit here and say I’m really happy with my performances.<\/p>\n

“My record under this manager speaks for itself. I haven’t started as many games as I like, but my win percentage when I’ve played is ridiculously high.<\/p>\n

“Of course there are times when I could do more and times when I could improve and help the team.<\/p>\n

“But I’m just wanting to help the team, I’m wanting to help the team get out of this position we’re in at the moment. Hopefully we can do that in the coming weeks.”<\/p>\n
