Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the appointment of Ange Postecoglou on a four-year deal, ending his treble-achieving tenure at Celtic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Postecoglou becomes Tottenham’s fourth permanent manager since the club parted ways with Mauricio Pochettino in 2019 — following on from Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.<\/span><\/p>\n

By joining the north London club, he becomes the first Australian coach to manage in the Premier League, having also mimicked that milestone in the Champions League.<\/p>\n

“We are excited to have Ange join us,” Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said about his latest appointment.<\/p>\n

“Ange brings a positive mentality and a fast, attacking style of play. He has a strong track record of developing players and an understanding of the importance of the link from the academy – everything that is important to our club.”<\/p>\n

A revered coach at Parkhead, Postecoglou captivated the Celtic Park terraces with his aesthetically-pleasing brand of attacking football, combining style and substance as he delivered tangible success to the club’s bulging trophy cabinet.<\/p>\n

During his two years in Glasgow, the 57-year-old achieved back-to-back Scottish Premiership titles and also delivered the club a world-record eighth domestic treble this term, famously beating Old Firm rivals Rangers in the Scottish League Cup final back in February.<\/p>\n
