As the clock ticks on, clubs across Europe are scrambling to get last-minute deals over the line before the January 2023 window closes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s been another hectic month of dealings, and deadline day for the winter window has been an equally frenetic affair. Plenty of transfers have already transpired since the clock struck 12am, and you can bet your boots more contracts will be inked deep into the night.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a transfer that few would have seen coming at the start of the month, but Joao Cancelo, once the vital artery of Pep Guardiola\u2019s backline, has moved to Bayern Munich on loan for the rest of the season (with an option to buy for \u00a361.5m). The Portuguese inverted full-back had seen his game time restricted in recent outings following the emergence of Rico Lewis, and will now miss City’s attempt to defend their Premier League crown against current table-toppers Arsenal.<\/p>\n
