sights set on the Champions League final, hosted by their own Allianz Arena. But they&#8217;ve been made to work for their place in the quarter-finals. Vincent Kompany&#8217;s men finished 12th in the group stage with five wins and three defeats, so had to go through the knockout phase play-offs. There Bayern were drawn against Celtic and needed a late equaliser in the second leg to avoid extra-time, taking the tie 3-2 on aggregate. Things were a bit more straightforward in the last 16 though, as Bayern beat German rivals Bayer Leverkusen 5-0 across the two legs.<\/p>\n<p>In the Bundesliga, Bayern have been their usual imperious selves and currently sit top of the league by six points. They&#8217;ve hit a couple of speedbumps along the way recently, falling to a defeat against Bochum and only managing a draw against Union Berlin but they got back to top form in the two games since, beating St Pauli and Augsburg, scoring six goals in the process.<\/p>\n<p>Inter are playing for a chance to return to the Allianz, also ending a long wait for Champions League glory. Of course, that win in 2010 did come against Bayern. Inter have been tough to beat in the Champions League this season, finishing fourth in the group with six wins, one draw and one defeat. They boasted the toughest defence in the group, conceding just one game. They conceded one goal in the last 16 too, but that came with a 4-1 aggregate victory over Feyenoord.<\/p>\n<p>Inter currently sit top of Serie A, leading Napoli by just three points. They&#8217;ve lost just three times all season but recent draws against their closest rivals and Parma have stopped them from asserting more dominance at the top of the league. That being said, they are unbeaten in six games with their last defeat coming in mid-February against Juventus.<\/p>\n<h3>Bayern Munich team news<\/h3>\n<p>Bayern should have Manuel Neuer back in time for this game, but they suffered a couple of blows over the international break. Alphonso Davies is out for the season with an ACL injury, while Dayot Upamecano is also sidelined until the summer.<\/p>\n<h3>Inter Milan team news<\/h3>\n<p>Denzel Dumfries could be back for Inter by the time this game comes around, but Stefan de Vrij is a doubt. Lautaro Martinez is also expected to return, though Inter are still waiting to find out the extent of Marcus Thuram&#8217;s injury.<\/p>\n<h3>Bayern Munich vs Inter Milan head-to-head<\/h3>\n<p>This will be the 10th meeting between these two sides, with Bayern and Inter most recently facing off in the 2022-23 Champions League group stage.
