Ian Wright has heaped praise on Cristiano Ronaldo following his match-winning hat-trick against Norwich on Saturday, insisting Manchester United would be significantly adrift of the Premier League top four were it not for him.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ronaldo has been in exceptional goalscoring form since returning to Old Trafford in the summer, netting 21 goals in 34 games across all competitions, but there has often been a debate about whether the 37-year-old has actually been hindering the performances of his side.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils ground out a nervy 3-2 win over the Premier League’s bottom club Norwich on Saturday, with Ronaldo netting a match-winning free-kick 15 minutes from time to claim a 60th career match ball, and Wright has heaped praise on the legendary difference-maker.<\/p>\n

He told Premier League productions: “If he [Ronaldo] wasn’t at Manchester United they would be nowhere near where they are now.<\/p>\n
