They were joined on the final day by Rotherham United, who return to the second tier at the first time of asking.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The final promotion place is still up for grabs however, and the playoff final is now set up following the semi-finals this week. The enter the playoffs as the form side, ending the season on a 13 game unbeaten streak and, although they face a tough test by coming up against Sheffield Wednesday, they know the beat the Owls 5-0 earlier this season and will be looking to replicate that result as they look to book their place at Wembley.<\/p>\n<p>Sunderland have finished in the playoff places in three of their four seasons in League One, losing out in the semi-final last year.<\/p>\n<h3>Wycombe Wanderers<\/h3>\n<p>Wycombe Wanderers enter the playoffs following a run of 12 games without a loss, snatching sixth place from Plymouth, who failed to win any of their last five games. Wycombe are the outsiders of the playoffs but that is a position the side are used to and it&#8217;s unlikely it will phase Gareth Ainsworth or his players.
