We knew it would be hard to win the Africa Cup of Nations but today we made it.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;Our team deserved to win this title. We had been looking for this for a long time and now we have it. This team is magnificent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Despite Mendy scooping the tournament&#8217;s &#8216;<span>Best Goalkeeper&#8217; award, the Chelsea gloveman believes Egypt&#8217;s Gabaski should have taken home the individual gong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>He told <span>Egyptian TV station <em>MBC<\/em>: &#8220;Gabaski is the best goalkeeper of the tournament, honestly. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;I spoke to him and I told him he deserves it [to win goalkeeper of the tournament].
