Former Manchester United forward Dion Dublin has criticised Anthony Martial after his underwhelming performance in the EFL Cup against West Ham United on Wednesday night.<\/strong><\/p>\n

David Moyes masterminded a 1-0 win for the Hammers at his old stamping ground thanks to an early Manuel Lanzini effort, with the result ending the London club’s 14-year wait for a victory at Old Trafford, which last came when Carlos Tevez was donning claret and blue.<\/p>\n

Both clubs entered the third round owing to their European commitments, but Man Utd have been eliminated at their first hurdle, while the Hammers were rewarded<\/em> with a home tie against reigning EFL Cup holders Manchester City for their efforts on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Moyes both deployed heavily-rotated XIs from Sunday’s showdown, which Man Utd won 2-1 courtesy of a late Jesse Lingard goal, with the England international handed a rare start, alongside the likes of Juan Mata, Diogo Dalot, Eric Bailly and Martial among others.<\/p>\n
