Former Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes Erling Haaland will leave Borussia Dortmund, but not for Bavaria.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a year where Bayern have pillaged the ranks of RB Leipzig, taking their manager (Julian Nagelsmann), captain (Marcel Sabitzer) and most-prized possession (Dayot Upamecano), the whole of the Bundesliga can rest easy knowing the champions will not be taking another domestic superstar.<\/p>\n

The Bavarian club have utilised this summer to weaken their closest challengers from last season, Leipzig (who finished as runners-up), sparing usual transfer market victims Borussia Dortmund, whom they’ve taken Mats Hummels, Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze off in recent years.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Haaland who, at just 21, has already been described by every superlative in the book, is making an absolute mockery of defenders in the yellow and black of BVB, naturally alerting the usual suspects of a potential future move, including the German champions.<\/p>\n

However, the Ruhr Valley club can take solace knowing their Der Klassiker<\/em> rivals will likely not be acquiring the services of Haaland, which, if they did, would effectively quash any chance of another German club winning the Meisterschale.\u00a0<\/em>That’s according to ex-Bayern CEO Rummenigge at least.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0<\/span>Sport Bild<\/em>:\u00a0“He has become an absolute figurehead in the league.<\/p>\n

“But I’m afraid he won’t be staying in the Bundesliga.<\/p>\n

“The numbers that are circulating show that it’s difficult to keep him in Germany.<\/p>\n

“I assume that his future lies abroad.”<\/p>\n

“We are a football club, not a bank!”<\/span><\/h2>\n

The latest rumblings about Haaland’s future come just a few days after Dortmund chief Michael Zorc hit out at rumours linking the Leeds-born marksman with a move away from the club. The likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Manchester City have all been credited with an interest.<\/span><\/p>\n

He told Kicker<\/em><\/a>: “We are a football club, not a bank! Our position is very clear and did not change.<\/p>\n
