Roy Keane has slammed Arsenal\u2019s performance against Chelsea as Thomas Tuchel\u2019s men comfortably win 2-0 in London derby — with Gunners losing their opening two Premier League games without scoring for first time ever.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The European champions “toyed” with Arsenal according to Keane, with Romelu Lukaku marking his second Chelsea debut with a goal a quarter of an hour into the match, before Reece James — provider of the Blues’ opener — got his name on the scoresheet 10 minutes before half-time.<\/p>\n\n

The result means Arsenal have started the campaign without a win, or a goal, for the first time in the club’s history, with this defeat also compounded by last week’s 2-0 reversal to Brentford and the prospect of facing reigning champions Manchester City in their next Premier League fixture.<\/p>\n

For Chelsea, they’ve started the season like a house on fire, following up their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace with another three points and that all-important clean sheet in their second successive all-London affair, which puts them atop the table ahead of Liverpool and Tottenham.<\/p>\n

At the opposite end of the table, Mikel Arteta is starting down the barrel as the Gunners currently sit in 19th, with a negative four goal difference and that aforementioned match with City on the horizon, with Keane believing “it\u2019s going to be a long season for them”.<\/p>\n

In his post-match analysis of Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat with Sky Sports<\/em>, Keane said: “There was a real swagger about Chelsea.<\/p>\n

“They toyed with Arsenal. It was very comfortable for them. Very comfortable.<\/p>\n

“They scored two but it could have been five, six or seven if they really went for it.<\/p>\n

“We saw the quality, the confidence, and the shortcomings of Arsenal.<\/p>\n

“There are no hidings places on that pitch and Arsenal fell well short of what is required. It\u2019s going to be a long season for them.”<\/p>\n

The result also comes as past Arsenal players blast the club’s approach in the transfer market, with Bacary Sagna and Emmanuel Petit suggesting they can no longer identify with the DNA of the Gunners, criticising Arteta’s decision to splurge exclusively “young players”.<\/p>\n

Sagna told RMC Sport<\/em><\/a>: “How can you spend \u20ac150m and only bring in young players? It might be good for the future, but someone has got to think about the present. When I was playing, anyone would be excited to join Arsenal, now\u2026 we have lost our DNA.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Petit also chimed in, saying: “Watching Arsenal now, I feel nothing, it does nothing for me, I have become completely desensitised. What is the plan?
