Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga says he is ‘flattered’ by speculation linking him to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Camavinga, 18, has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence that has seen him capped three times by France and become a consistent first-teamer at Rennes.<\/p>\n

The talented midfielder netted in the 7-1 win over Ukraine for Les Bleus<\/i><\/span> in October to become the youngest goalscorer for the nation since Maurice Gastiger in 1914.<\/span><\/p>\n

Such form has naturally sent the rumour mill into overdrive and links to some of Europe’s heavy hitters have been gaining considerable traction as we approach the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

Two of the clubs believed to have their noses pressed up against the Rennes shop window are Real Madrid and Bayern Munich; the magnitude of which has been not lost on the teenage superstar.<\/p>\n

Camavinga\u00a0told\u00a0<\/span>Telefoot<\/em><\/a>: “It makes you feel flattered and it’s nice that teams like Real Madrid or Bayern are interested in your situation.<\/p>\n

“I’m not going to lie, but I have not yet thought it over with my family.”<\/p>\n

Camavinga’s Euro 2020 hopes<\/h2>\n

Following his breakthrough season in 2019\/20, Camavinga has carried over his stellar form into this campaign, and has once again proven the heartbeat and vital artery of his side’s midfield.<\/p>\n

He famously registered 105 tackles in Ligue 1 last campaign as Rennes defied expectations and finished third, the highest of anyone in the division and the only player to accumulate a three-digit tally.<\/p>\n

This time around, the tenacious enforcer ranks sixth for tackles (90), but his influence for Les Rouge et Noir <\/i>remains unparalleled at the Roazhon Park, as Bruno Genesio’s side push for a top-five finish, which would guarantee European football.<\/p>\n

Speaking of which, Camavinga has outlined his aspirations of consolidating a position in Didier Deschamps’ 26-man squad for France at Euro 2020 this summer, but admits he would ultimately be happy with an U21 call-up instead as “everything is going very fast” for the 18-year-old.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I would like to play with the French senior team, but if I am called up by the U21s, it would be a pleasure and a great source of pride for me,” he added.<\/p>\n
