Manchester United are finally set to complete the signing of forward Amad Diallo as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer kicks off 2021 on a positive note.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diallo will arrive from Atalanta for a reported fee rising to around \u00a337million in what will likely be a quiet January Transfer Window<\/a> for United. The deal for the 18-year-old was originally announced on deadline day in October but United have had to wait on a work permit to finalise the transfer.<\/p>\n

Executive vice chairman Ed Woodward said in December that Manchester United were “focused on summer windows” but that does not mean the club will be completely inactive this January.<\/p>\n

They welcomed Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo during the winter window 12 months ago and will likely be tempted into the market should any long-term targets become available at the right price.<\/p>\n

Manchester United continue to monitor Jadon Sancho, however unlikely a January deal might be, while they are reportedly keeping tabs on Norwich full-back Max Aarons as Solskjaer looks to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right side of defence.<\/p>\n

They are still searching for a centre-back, with Brighton defender Ben White (5\/2 to move to Old Trafford before the February deadline<\/a>) and Conor Coady (16\/1<\/a>) among several names linked with a move.<\/p>\n

Jack Grealish (7\/1<\/a>) is another name which won’t go away, but Solskjaer was reluctant to discuss the England international when probed about transfer links ahead of Friday’s win over Villa.<\/p>\n

The United boss said: \u201cThe goal he scored last season was a brilliant goal and we\u2019ve faced him enough times to know it\u2019s going to be a difficult game.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want to say too much about other teams\u2019 players but of course he\u2019s a player we know we have to look for.\u201d<\/p>\n
