Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rubbished any suggestion that Manchester United no longer hold power in the transfer market.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The record 20-time English champions are under pressure from supporters to strengthen their first-team squad in the January transfer window following a topsy-turvy 2019\/20 campaign.<\/p>\n

    United currently find themselves fifth in the Premier League table, with 16 matches remaining this season, but five points adrift of the Champions League places and competition for the top four is currently fierce.<\/p>\n

    Elsewhere they remain in both domestic cup competitions, for now at least, as they host Wolves in a FA Cup third-round replay and have to overturn a 3-1 deficit against Manchester City to reach next month’s Carabao Cup final.<\/p>\n

    Solskjaer oversaw three major acquisitions last summer — with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Daniel James all becoming fixtures in his team — and there’s suggestion Bruno Fernandes, who they were strongly linked to before this season, could finally make that move to Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

    However, in recent years seeing United dip into the January transfer market has been rare, they didn’t last year and this, coupled with missing out on first choices, has led to suggestions they’re losing their touch which Solskjaer dismissed.<\/p>\n
