Benfica have confirmed the signing of German midfielder Julian Weigl from Borussia Dortmund for \u20ac20m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dortmund had previously confirmed that a deal had been agreed with the Portuguese club, subject to a medical, with Weigl having asked for the move.<\/p>\n

“Julian approached us with this wish and we agreed, also because of his service to the club,” Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

  • Julian Weigl joined Borussia Dortmund in 2015, signing from 1860 Munich.<\/li>\n
