Chelsea boss Frank Lampard believes Christian Pulisic will “rack up the goals” if he continues making late runs into the penalty area.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 21-year-old American forward made a second consecutive Premier League start for the Blues at Watford and once again repaid his manager’s faith with a goal.<\/p>\n

    A week prior, Pulisic registered a perfect hat-trick, which happened to be his first three goals since joining from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, as the west London side ran out 4-2 winners at Turf Moor.<\/p>\n

    Pulisic, who was the club’s only arrival heading into the 2019\/20 season due to a transfer embargo, has struggled to become a mainstay under Lampard, starting in two of their opening nine league outings.<\/p>\n

    A struggle for playing time subsequently led to reports of a swift departure in the near future, but Pulisic dismissed those murmurings, instead feeling he was not only making progress but a place in the starting lineup wasn’t far away.<\/p>\n

    His fourth league goal in two games was roundly praised by Lampard, who himself made it a habit of arriving late into the penalty area to finish off an opportunity, and the Blues all-time leading goalscorer feels if Pulisic keeps this up, then he’ll be just as prolific.<\/p>\n
