Romelu Lukaku has been a revelation at Inter Milan since joining from Manchester United in the summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 26-year-old Belgian marksman ended a two-year stay at Old Trafford when it became clear he was surplus to requirements under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.<\/p>\n

His subsequent move to Milan killed two birds with one stone: Lukaku fulfilled a long-held dream of playing in Serie A as well as under newly-appointed Nerazzurri boss Antonio Conte.<\/p>\n

Succeeding the club’s leading scorer this decade, Mauro Icardi \u2013 who joined Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan \u2013 the former Evertonian scored on debut against Lecce before striking in the following game at Cagliari.<\/p>\n

He managed one goal in Inter’s following five league outings, which came in the Derby della Madonnina against city rivals AC Milan, before registering in four consecutive matches (six goals in total).<\/p>\n

Lukaku’s efforts thus far have seen him match idol and legendary striker Ronaldo Nazario, who was the last Inter player to score at least nine goals for the Milanese giants across the opening 11 games of a debut season.<\/p>\n

Ronaldo bagged the same amount of goals at the start of the 1997\/98 season and eventually finished with a total of 24 in the league, which is a number Lukaku surely now be targeting. His seamless adaptation has given him every chance of matching the Brazilian.<\/p>\n
