Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has revealed his desire to retain Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori on a long-term basis after their impressive starts to the season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pair, who graduated from the club’s esteemed academy, have become permanent members of the Chelsea first-team this season under Lampard who succeeded Maurizio Sarri in the summer.<\/p>\n

    Tomori has previously learned at the feet of Lampard when he was sent out on loan to Derby County last season. A transfer embargo imposed by FIFA, plus the appointment of the former Chelsea midfielder, opened the door for the likes of Tomori and Abraham to walk through.<\/p>\n

    Both as well as Mason Mount, who also spent the 2018\/19 season at the Rams, have been mainstays in Lampard’s exuberant side with Abraham being their leading scorer in the Premier League after registering eight goals across nine outings.<\/p>\n

    Their domestic performances haven’t gone unnoticed with England boss Gareth Southgate calling them up in the recent international break and they’ve even been linked with moves away.<\/p>\n

    Abraham’s present deal expires in 2022 with Tomori’s up a year earlier and Lampard, following a promising start, is keen for them to extend their stays but stresses it’s out of his hands.<\/p>\n
