Jurgen Klopp has brushed off suggestions the weather will play a part in his decision to stay at Liverpool, revealing comments made by his agent were a joke.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Reds manager, whose contract expires at the end of the 2021\/22 season, was responding to quotes from an interview his agent\u00a0Marc Kosicke gave in Germany.<\/p>\n

    Klopp recently mentioned the idea of leaving Liverpool somewhere down the line but only to reveal he plans to take a year-long break when he does eventually depart Anfield.<\/p>\n

    And Kosicke appeared to hint the weather could play a part in Klopp’s future choices.<\/p>\n

    “Jurgen\u2019s contract is still valid until 2022 and it is an open secret that the club would like to extend,\u201d Kosicke told Spox<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    \u201cWe still have a little time for that. We must wait and see how everything develops and whether climate change will bring better weather to England or only to Germany.”<\/p>\n

    Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League opener against Napoli, Klopp revealed\u00a0Kosicke’s comments were made in jest.<\/p>\n

    “He (Kosicke) wanted to make a joke, I have to be serious,” Klopp said<\/a>. “German humour, nobody got it. The weather was never a reason for me to choose a city.”<\/p>\n
