Almeria have apologised to Man Utd following the acquisition of England U19 forward Arvin Appiah from Nottingham Forest.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 18-year-old winger, born in Amsterdam but came through at Forest, ended a nine-year association with the former European champions when he opted a move to Spain’s second division.<\/p>\n

    A host of clubs were seemingly vying for his signature, which set Almeria back \u00a38m, with Man Utd being among them. However, the Red Devils were beaten to the punch and Appiah’s new employers were courteous enough to send the Old Trafford-based club a message.<\/p>\n
