Five key things to know\u2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The 27-year-old has played 82 times for his nation.<\/li>\n<li>He played 24 times for the Reds last season in the Premier League.<\/li>\n<li>This season Shaqiri is yet to feature in any top flight game.<\/li>\n<li>Jurgen Klopp said he will be an important player for Liverpool this season.<\/li>\n<li>Shaqiri is not happy being left out of the first-team XI.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>https:\/\/audioboom.com\/posts\/7354781-emery-must-resist-his-crystal-palace-tribute-act-to-punish-unsettled-spurs<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the former Bayern forward will remain in Liverpool in order to focus his attention on breaking into the Reds&#8217; first team.<\/p>\n<p>Liverpool have started the season well winning all three of their matches to sit atop the Premier League table. Shaqiri is yet to feature, being an unused substitute in every game.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, Jurgen Klopp has admitted the Swiss star will play a big role this season.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s the first four weeks of the season, that&#8217;s how it is. That&#8217;s probably the hardest period for players who are not [playing],&#8221; Klopp <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goal.com\/en-gb\/news\/shaqiri-opts-out-of-switzerland-duty-to-focus-on-liverpool\/vedi0ry1h2zl1dzbwcspm9fc2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> at a press conference on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In training, Shaq doesn\u2019t have to improve in any way if he can keep the level he is doing at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Of course he can improve like how everybody can improve, but it&#8217;s not about that \u2013 he doesn&#8217;t have to show anything special.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will need him, he knows that 100 per cent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"How Chelsea Have Lined Up Under Lampard! I don&#8217;t think so. Can I see that on the training pitch?
