Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek has confirmed Real Madrid are interested in signing him this summer. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The 22-year-old notched three goals and two assists during the Amsterdam club’s run to last season’s Champions League semi-finals \u2013 knocking out Real Madrid along the way \u2013 becoming one of many from that squad to be linked with a big move.<\/p>\n

    Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt have already departed for Barcelona and Juventus, respectively, and Van de Beek has been linked with Real Madrid for some time now, with Los Blancos possibly seeing him as a cheaper alternative to Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.<\/p>\n

    Ajax begin the defence of their Eredivisie title against Vitesse on Saturday and in the build-up, Van de Beek was asked about the Real Madrid rumours.<\/p>\n

    It is thought that Real Madrid are yet to meet Ajax’s \u20ac65m valuation of Van de Beek and are looking for a deal more in the region of \u20ac50m.<\/p>\n
