Kylian Mbappe has stated he ‘never had any intention’ of leaving PSG, despite heavy speculation earlier in the transfer window.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The French superstar had been linked with a move away from Paris at the start of the window as he emerged as Real Madrid’s reported no.1 target. However, Mbappe has quashed any talk of him leaving.<\/p>\n

    Speaking in a press conference ahead of the new Ligue 1 season, Mbappe said: “I never had the intention to leave the club. What I said at the UNFP awards, only I, the board and the coach know the meaning.”<\/p>\n

    Mbappe only joined PSG permanently last summer after his initial deal from Monaco was on loan, in order to make sure that PSG would comply with FFP rules.<\/p>\n

    Despite the signing of Idrissa Gana Gueye from Everton earlier this week, headlines have been dominated by reported outgoings instead. Mbappe and Neymar have been heavily associated with moves this window, but it appears they will be staying put.<\/p>\n

    A summer of change<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    As is this the case with more or less all of Europe’s top clubs this summer, PSG have had a plethora of players coming in and out. Joining Gueye at PSG will be former Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, who arrives on a free transfer. Abdou Diallo has joined from Borussia Dortmund and Pablo Sarabia will be coming, too, after impressing with Sevilla last season.<\/p>\n
