Dele Alli says Tottenham must use the pain of losing the Champions League final to improve this season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The midfielder admits various injuries contributed to his own personal “difficult season” but insists he and Spurs can do better in 2019\/20.<\/p>\n

    When fit, Alli played some of the best football of his career last term, providing two assists in Tottenham’s famous victory over Ajax in the Champions League semi-finals.<\/p>\n

    But like many of his teammates, the 23-year-old struggled in the final, appearing to succumb to a campaign full of niggling injuries.<\/p>\n

    Yet Alli believes a lack of negative thinking has served him well going into a new season.<\/p>\n

    “It was a difficult season for me and it was probably the most injuries I’ve ever had,” Alli said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    “It’s tough mentally as well as physically not playing and sitting on the sidelines when you want to be out there, helping the team.<\/p>\n

    “But you’ve got to move forward and try not to think about it too negatively.<\/p>\n

    “I’ve used the time to work on the things that weren’t quite right, keep building and come back stronger.<\/p>\n
