Andreas Pereira has said he is “ready” to step up and play more regularly for Manchester United this season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The midfielder was in and out of the team last year but believes he can replicate David Beckham on United’s right wing if given the opportunity to do so.<\/p>\n

    Having only made one appearance for the Brazil national team, Pereira knows 2019\/20 could be a big season for his chances of becoming a regular for club and country.<\/p>\n

    Speaking to FourFourTwo<\/a>, the 23-year-old insisted he is confident of making a step up this term.<\/p>\n

    \u201cLast season I had some difficulties to overcome mentally,\u201d Pereira said. \u201cI was doing well, then I had a setback where I was out of the team. Then Ole gave me a chance, he spoke to me and explained that I was in his plans.<\/p>\n

    \u201cI learned a lot, I\u2019m ready to step up, I feel confident and the manager feels confident in me. Mentally and physically, I feel stronger each year.<\/p>\n

    \u201cIt\u2019s my time to step up. I\u2019m ready. As a No.8 or a No.10. I can play on the right wing like Becks used to play, cut inside and get the early cross in. I have a lot to show.\u201d<\/p>\n
