Gareth Bale’s agent has launched a ferocious broadside at Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane after he talked up an exit for his client.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bale failed to take part as Los Blancos lost 3-1 to Bayern Munich in their 2019 International Champions Cup meeting on Saturday night, with Zidane confirming in the aftermath that the forward’s omission was due to him being close to an exit.<\/p>\n

    When asked about Bale’s absence from the NRG Stadium, Zidane replied:\u00a0“Bale did not play because he is very close to leaving. We hope he leaves soon, it would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team.”<\/p>\n

    But, those comments haven’t gone down too well with Bale’s representative,\u00a0Jonathan Barnett, who has since hit back at the Frenchman, branding him a “disgrace” for the manner in which he appears to be handling this ongoing transfer saga.<\/p>\n

    Speaking to\u00a0AFP<\/a>, he said: “Zidane is a disgrace, he shows no respect for a player that has done so much for Real Madrid.”<\/p>\n

    Barnett did, however, go on to echo Zidane’s comments regarding Bale’s future, reaffirming that he and the club are exploring the possibility of a Bernabeu exit for his client, saying: “We are working on it.”<\/p>\n
