Former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders believes Christian Eriksen would ‘slot into Liverpool’s team’ as they search for another playmaker.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Christian Eriksen is entering the final year of his current deal at Tottenham and will almost certainly be leaving the club this summer.<\/p>\n

    Liverpool have been reportedly looking at the possibility of bringing Coutinho back to Anfield as they look for more creativity but ex-Red Saunders believes they should look closer to home.<\/p>\n

    The Welshman, who made his name at Oxford United, thinks the Danish star would be a good fit on Merseyside.<\/p>\n

    When asked by Talksport<\/a> whether the Anfield club will spend their transfer budget during this window and on who, he said: “[They could] spend it maybe\u2026 I think Eriksen could slot into Liverpool\u2019s team; somebody like Eriksen. That type of player who will make their midfield a bit more productive.”<\/p>\n
