During his one year at Pride Park, he guided the Rams to the Championship playoff final but they couldn&#8217;t overcome Aston Villa, who claimed the final spot in the 2019\/20 Premier League season.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this setback, Lampard would get the chance to rub shoulders with the likes of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp as Chelsea&#8217;s 10th permanent manager since Roman Abramovich&#8217;s takeover in 2003. Of the previous nine, Lampard played under all but the last two: Antonio Conte and Sarri.<\/p>\n<p>His return has been met with enthusiasm from supporters who feel, given their impending transfer ban, there&#8217;s no one better to bring through many of the club&#8217;s talented youngsters.
