Tottenham Hotspur legend\u00a0Osvaldo Ardiles believes any attempt from his former club to try and keep Christian Eriksen is “futile” as Dani Ceballos rumours intensify.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eriksen is in the last year of his current Spurs contract and has seen his name heavily associated with Real Madrid, as Zinedine Zidane continues his summer galactico project.<\/p>\n

    The north London playmaker recently hinted at a move to the Bernabeu and he could be set to add to Zidane’s growing list of star-studded signings this summer.<\/p>\n

    Los Blancos have already secured Eden Hazard,\u00a0Luka Jovic,\u00a0Eder Militao,\u00a0Ferland Mendy and\u00a0Rodrygo\u200e, but\u00a0Florentino Perez may yet flex further financial muscle this summer with the acquisition of Eriksen, who\u00a0has his heart set on a La Liga switch according to Ardiles.<\/p>\n

    He told talkSPORT<\/a>: “It looks to me like he has put his mind on a move \u2013 that he wants to go somewhere else.<\/p>\n

    “And if that is the case it\u2019s futile for the club to try and keep a player when he wants to leave.<\/p>\n

    “I won’t say he\u2019s not happy with us, because he is, but his mind is trying to play somewhere else, and the best thing is to part company.”<\/p>\n
