Frank Lampard is under consideration to become the new Chelsea manager but is not the only name in the frame, according to new technical and performance adviser, Petr Cech.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blues are searching for a new man to take over in the Stamford Bridge dugout following Maurizio Sarri’s departure to Juventus after just one year in charge.<\/p>\n

  4. Derby have since revealed they have\u00a0‘excused’<\/a> him from pre-season training to help conclude talks.<\/li>\n

    Despite winning the Europa League, reaching the League Cup final and finishing third in the Premier League, a large section of the Chelsea fanbase never warmed to Sarri and now, many are tipping Lampard as the man to come in and win over the club’s supporters – in a managerial sense.<\/p>\n

    Lampard is Chelsea’s record goalscorer (211 goals) and lifted 11 major honours with the Blues during a glittering 13-year stay at Stamford Bridge and after taking Derby County to the Championship play-off final during his debut managerial season, he is now being heavily linked with a return to the club.<\/p>\n
