Victor Wanyama has identified Mauricio Pochettino’s man-management skills and “constant desire to succeed” as key reasons behind Tottenham’s progress.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spurs were seen as serial underperformers when the Argentine took charge in 2014 but Pochettino has turned the club’s fortunes around in recent years.<\/p>\n

The 47-year-old almost led Spurs to unexpected European glory during the 2018\/19 season but they lost 2-0 in the Champions League final against fellow Premier League side Liverpool.<\/p>\n

    Wanyama – who is currently away with Kenya at this summer’s Africa Cup of Nations – is adamant he always looks forward to working with Pochettino and that the Spurs manager’s attitude reflects positively on the north Londoners’ entire squad.<\/p>\n

    “Pochettino is a great coach who works very hard in every training [session],”\u00a0Wanyama told\u00a0Goal<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    “He has a constant desire to succeed and win all matches, which is reflected in the players through his help.<\/p>\n

    “He has his own way of dealing with each player, advising us on and off the pitch continuously and taking care of everyone to get even more out of every player on the pitch.<\/p>\n

    “I always look forward to working with him\u00a0and taking advantage of his advice to develop and perform in the stadium in the best way possible.”<\/p>\n
