Former\u00a0Atletico Madrid striker\u00a0Radamel Falcao has endorsed the signing of\u00a0Edinson Cavani as\u00a0Diego Simeone prepares for life without\u00a0Antoine Griezmann.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Griezmann announced last month that he will be parting company from Atleti this summer, and PSG forward\u00a0Cavani has emerged as his potential successor.<\/p>\n

  1. Griezmann has already confirmed his departure from\u00a0Atletico Madrid this summer.<\/li>\n
  2. As such, Los Colchoneros will need a replacement forward for the 2019\/20 season.<\/li>\n
  3. It was reported by\u00a0Spanish newspaper Mundo <\/a>Deportivo<\/a>\u00a0last month that Cavani has already agreed to join Atleti.<\/li>\n
  4. But the club would first need to offload Diego Costa.<\/li>\n
  5. Should a move come to fruition, Falcao believes Cavani will “continue” his prodigious goalscoring rate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Parisians’ all-time record goalscorer endured a sporadic 2018\/19 as injuries hampered his season, but the 32-year-old still managed to find the back of the net 23 times.<\/p>\n

    Overall, the Uruguayan has scored a quite outrageous 193 goals in 279 appearances for the French giants, but he refused to rule out a departure from the Parc des Princes in April<\/a>, sparking rumours of a move to Atleti, where Falcao believes his prowess in the final third would no doubt “continue” to flourish.<\/p>\n

    “For me, Edinson is a top striker,” Falcao stated<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    “In Paris, he has scored lots of goals every year and wherever he goes, he will continue to do so.”<\/p>\n
