Chelsea loanee Alvaro Morata has called for Atletico Madrid to sign him permanently in the summer, ending his two-year association with the Blues.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Spaniard has been on loan at the Wanda Metropolitano since January 2019, after failing to impress in his first season and a half with Chelsea.<\/p>\n

  2. The Spanish club reportedly have an option to make the move permanent this summer.<\/li>\n
  3. But Morata claims Chelsea also have an option to recall him.<\/li>\n
  4. And with the Blues set for a year-long transfer ban, there is a chance they could recall Morata a year early.<\/li>\n

    Morata’s loan deal sees him stay at Atletico until the end of next season, but Chelsea reportedly have a clause in his contract which can see them recall him – something which could happen due to the club’s transfer ban.<\/p>\n

    But Morata, who scored six goals in 17 games for Atletico, has pleaded with the Spanish club to make his move permanent this summer.<\/p>\n

    The Spaniard told Goal<\/a>: “I have said it many times: there is a moment in which there are things that surpass fame, money and everything.<\/p>\n

    “Thank God, at Atletico I’ve been able to have a bit of all of this, but I would love to be here every year that I’m able to play at the highest level.<\/p>\n

    “I want to stay at Atletico but, contractually, Chelsea can call me back. We will see what happens in the negotiations between them, but the two clubs already know what I want.<\/p>\n

    “I only ask, please, as I said to Atletico, do everything possible to do it as soon as possible. Because I just want to be here.”<\/p>\n

    Morata started life at Chelsea fairly well under Antonio Conte, scoring 10 goals in his opening 17 Premier League games, including a hat-trick against Stoke City. But just one more goal would follow in his remaining 14 appearances of the 2017\/18, as he struggled with form and injury problems.<\/p>\n
