The Premier League season may have only finished last month but preparations are well-and-truly underway for the start of 2019\/20.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fans up and down the country will be expecting marquee signings and showpiece signatures this summer, but for funds to be sanctioned by the makers and shakers of all 20 league clubs, departures will need to take place.<\/p>\n

In order to comply with financial regulations and generate spending money, managers will need to trim back their squads, getting rid of any deadwood and freeing up wages to make room for new recruits.<\/p>\n

As such, there is an obligatory wave of players released every year – sometimes against the club’s wishes – and it usually makes for a very interesting ‘Best XI of free agents’ – this season is no exception with Mario Balotelli and Adrien Rabiot making the cut.<\/p>\n

But what of those in the Premier League? Which players have already been released – or are set for release – by their clubs and may find themselves in precarious territory come July 1?<\/p>\n

Released: <\/strong>Aaron Ramsey (Juventus),\u00a0Petr Cech (retired), Danny Welbeck,\u00a0Stephan Lichtsteiner,\u00a0Cohen Bramall,\u00a0Charlie Gilmour,\u00a0Julio Pleguezuelo<\/p>\n

It is a summer of high-profile departures for Arsenal, with Ramsey’s free transfer to Juventus the pick of the bunch. Elsewhere Cech has closed the curtain on an illustrious playing career, while Welbeck and Lichtsteiner have been deemed surplus to requirements by Unai Emery.<\/p>\n
