Bayern Munich president CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says the German club is yet to make a bid for Leroy Sane but will push forward with negotiations if the player expresses his desire to make the move.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sane was in and out of the Manchester City starting line up last season and has been linked with a return to the Bundesliga.<\/p>\n

  1. Sane was named PFA Young Player of the Year in 2017\/18 but endured a mixed 2018\/19 with City.<\/li>\n
  2. The winger was a substitute in nine of City’s final 14 league games, remaining on the bench in five of those matches.<\/li>\n
  3. Last month, reports<\/a> claimed City turned down a \u00a370.7m bid for Sane from Bayern.<\/li>\n
  4. Bayern deny an offer has been made but appear to have urged Sane to push for a move away from the Etihad.<\/li>\n
  5. Despite his lack of starts, Sane scored more goals across all competitions in 2018\/19 (16) than in 2017\/18 (14).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    City are reportedly<\/a> keen to tie Sane down to a new long-term contract in order to ward off interest from Bayern, suggesting the 23-year-old is still in Pep Guardiola’s long-term plans.<\/p>\n

    But if the player asks to leave the Etihad for Bayern, Rummenigge has confirmed the Bundesliga champions will at least attempt to enter negotiations with the reigning Premier League champions.<\/p>\n

    “We have not made an offer for Leroy Sane. It has not gone that far yet,” Rummenigge told Sport Bild<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    “First the player has to decide whether he can imagine coming to Bayern. If that’s the case, then we’re negotiating with Manchester City.<\/p>\n
