Lyon have denied reports suggesting they and Real Madrid have agreed a transfer for left-back Ferland Mendy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After finishing third in La Liga, exiting the Champions League at the round-of-16 stage to Ajax and losing to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semi-final, Los Blancos are set to revamp their squad this summer under Zinedine Zidane.<\/p>\n

    And one player who has caught their attention is Mendy, with the 23-year-old making the second-highest number of interceptions (35) of any Lyon player in Ligue 1 during 2018\/19, nailing down the left-back spot as his own.<\/p>\n

    A number of media outlets<\/a> have suggested the two clubs have already agreed a \u20ac<\/span><\/span>50m deal for the France international but Lyon have taken to their official Twitter account to deny this.<\/p>\n

    Their tweet<\/a> translated to: “Olympique Lyonnais denies an agreement with Real Madrid for a possible transfer of defender Ferland Mendy, contrary to what has been relayed by some media outlets.”<\/p>\n
