Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier has admitted he is open to leaving the French champions, revealing there has been contact with “a dozen clubs”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meunier admitted he is likely to leave PSG at the end next season when his contract expires, if he isn’t sold this summer.<\/p>\n

  1. Meunier has been an important member of PSG’s squad since joining from Club Brugge in 2016.<\/li>\n
  2. However, the Belgian has never made more than 24 league appearances in a single season for the Parisians.<\/li>\n
  3. In 2018\/19, he made just 20 Ligue 1 appearances having been rotated at right-back with Dani Alves.<\/li>\n
  4. Meunier has just one year left on his contract and has noted he plays just “one game out of three”.<\/li>\n

    PSG could lose Dani Alves and Adrien Rabiot on free transfers this summer, something that could also happen to Meunier in a year’s time.<\/p>\n

    But the right-back says it is unclear whether he will sign a new deal or be sold.<\/p>\n

    Meunier told Le Parisien<\/a>: “It (leaving on a free) is something that could suit me. I do not think the club would make a lot of money on me, actually. I have a market value, but I’m a defender, I played one game in three, I’m going to be 28 years old.<\/p>\n

    “It’s not like Adrien Rabiot who is worth 50 million euros. I told the club that I was ready to stay, that I would like it a lot. They did not tell me ‘we absolutely want to sell you’. They know that at some point they will need me.<\/p>\n

    “If the club tells me, ‘listen, we want to sell you, we need money, there is financial fair play’, and that I will not play next year, we will find a solution that will please the two camps, of course.<\/p>\n

    “There is no advanced contact [with other clubs]. There have been phone calls since January with interested clubs. There are a dozen clubs, all of which are in the top five of their league.”<\/p>\n
