Chelsea midfielder Jorginho believes Maurizio Sarri’s proposed move to Juventus could be seen as a “betrayal” in the eyes of Napoli supporters.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sarri is reported<\/a> to have travelled back to his native Italy to negotiate a deal with the Old Lady to succeed\u00a0Massimiliano Allegri as head coach.<\/p>\n

  1. Sarri endured a difficult maiden campaign in west London despite winning the Europa League.<\/li>\n
  2. The Italian coach was criticised at various points across the season for his style of play, lack of rotation and use of\u00a0N’Golo Kante.<\/li>\n
  3. Despite this, the Blues finished 2018\/19 with a Europa League title and a third-place Premier League finish.<\/li>\n
  4. As such, Juve have reportedly<\/a> identified Sarri as the ideal replacement for the outgoing Allegri.<\/li>\n
  5. However, former Napoli midfielder\u00a0Jorginho has warned Sarri that should a move materialise it would likely represent a huge “betrayal” for fans of the Parthenopeans.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Turin club have been actively seeking a manager to fill the void of Allegri, who announced his decision to step down as Juve manager last month.<\/p>\n

    Sarri guided the Stamford Bridge club to a Europa League triumph and a third-place league finish, but the Italian encountered plenty of problems along the way.<\/p>\n

    The 60-year-old could now be set to leave despite a strong end to the season, and so, should he pitch up at the Serie A champions, Jorginho believes Napoli fans wouldn’t take too kindly to their former manager’s decision.<\/p>\n

    Speaking at a press conference for Italy’s upcoming Euro 2020 qualifier against Greece, Jorginho said<\/a>: “It would be sad because I think [Sarri] did a good job.<\/p>\n

    “We finished third in the Premier League, we won the Europa League and we reached the EFL Cup Final despite all the critics.<\/p>\n

    “It was a good first season in Chelsea. It would be sad for everyone.<\/p>\n

    “The Napoli fans still have him in their hearts; it’s normal that they could get angry. They could treat it as a betrayal; they’re like that. We’ll see what happens.”<\/p>\n
