Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita will miss their Champions League final clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Reds will be without one of their key midfielders as they prepare to take on Spurs in Madrid, hoping to make amends from last year’s final defeat.<\/p>\n

  1. Keita joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig for \u00a348m last summer.<\/li>\n
  2. The Guinea international has made 32 appearances for the Reds, including six in the Champions League.<\/li>\n
  3. He limped off with a groin injury during their 3-0 defeat to Barca earlier this month.<\/li>\n
  4. Klopp has now confirmed Keita will miss Saturday’s final and possibly the Africa Cup of Nations next month.<\/li>\n
  5. But the German did reveal Roberto Firmino is fit to play in Madrid.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Keita joined the Reds from RB Leipzig last summer and has featured in six of Liverpool’s 12 games en route to the final, however, he was forced off after just 24 minutes in their 3-0 semi-final first leg defeat to Barcelona at the start of May with a groin injury, and hasn’t featured since.<\/p>\n

    “[There is] no chance for Naby,” Klopp confirmed<\/a> when asked about the 24-year-old’s availability for Saturday’s Madrid showpiece.<\/p>\n

    Keita has, however, been included in Guinea’s 25-man provisional squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in June, although Klopp is also unsure of his capacity to be fit for that tournament as well.<\/p>\n
