Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to smash their transfer record this summer after making a bid thought to be around \u00a353m for Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 23-year-old has two-years remaining on his current deal at Benito Villamarin but is expected to leave this summer should Beticos receive an offer that meets their valuation, which is reportedly<\/a>\u00a0higher than Tottenham’s initial offer.<\/p>\n

    Tottenham will face Liverpool in the Champions League final on Saturday in Madrid, but they are already making plans for next season after launching an audacious bid for Real Betis\u2019 star midfielder.<\/p>\n

    The club, based in Seville, have had little to cheer about this campaign but the performances of Lo Celso have been one of the highlights.<\/p>\n

    The 23-year-old has shown a great ability, making excellent runs from deep while also having a strong left-foot and brilliant movement. To highlight this further you only need to look at his stats, with the Argentine leading the Betis team in successful dribbles (63).<\/p>\n

    This ability has led to a number of clubs taking an interest and although Tottenham\u2019s offer would be a record signing for the London club it is still below the player\u2019s release clause which stands at \u00a388m.<\/p>\n

    It is thought Betis are looking for a fee closer to that amount and with Real Madrid and Manchester United both showing intent to sign the midfielder, Spurs could still miss out.<\/p>\n
