Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar has admitted he’d like to play under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 20-year-old has been heavily linked with Liverpool<\/a> recently having notched seven goals and seven assists in Ligue 1 this season but has potentially scuppered that move with his latest comments.<\/p>\n

  1. Aouar started 35 Ligue 1 games for Lyon this season, as well as a further seven Champions League matches.<\/li>\n
  2. The midfielder provided 10 assists across both competitions.<\/li>\n
  3. His form as seen him heavily linked with Liverpool, who need a creative midfielder.<\/li>\n
  4. But Man City have also been rumoured to have an interest.<\/li>\n
  5. Aouar has admitted he would one day like to play for City under Guardiola.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Aouar caught Guardiola’s eye during their side’s Champions League group stage clashes earlier in the season, with the Catalan describing the France U21 international as\u00a0“incredible”<\/a>. And now, the midfielder has returned the compliments.<\/p>\n

    When asked by Canal Plus<\/a> if he would want to play for City, Aouar said: “You wouldn’t like to go to City?<\/p>\n

    “It is a great European club and all players have this urge to play for the biggest European clubs, which in addition is led by Guardiola, who for me is a reference as a coach.<\/p>\n
