Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane’s half-time fury inspired the club to victory against Ajax on Wednesday night, according to right-back Kieran Trippier.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having gone 2-0 down in the first half, Spurs came back to win 3-2 against Ajax, winning their Champions League semi-final 3-3 on away goals.<\/p>\n

    Speaking to reporters<\/a> after the club’s historic night in Amsterdam, Trippier revealed how injured Kane went “mental” at his teammates at half time, inspiring the side to go on and shock Europe.<\/p>\n

    “Harry’s exceptional for club and country,” said Trippier. “I don’t know the timescale with his injury but obviously we’re all hoping he can be back because of his presence, even here.<\/p>\n

    “At half-time he came in and was going mental at us because we can do better, which we all knew, but this is what we need, the leadership he has.<\/p>\n

    “The way he came in at half-time and wasn’t happy, we all knew that.<\/p>\n

    “He just gives us that extra lift because his presence was massive for us.”<\/p>\n
