Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson is set to wear a “one-off” goalkeeper jersey in their Champions League semi-final clash against Barcelona.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Catalan giants have put themselves in a commanding position – winning the first leg 3-0 at the Camp Nou – leaving Alisson and his teammates a tough job to do Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

    Liverpool released a statement via their official club website<\/a> stating: “Liverpool will use a one-off goalkeeper shirt for tonight’s Champions League semi-final, second leg with Barcelona.<\/p>\n

    “Alisson Becker is set to sport an alloy-coloured\u00a0jersey, produced by New Balance, for the Anfield affair due to the regular \u2018keeper strips clashing with the kits of Barcelona and the match officials.”<\/p>\n

    However, Liverpool were quick to stress that this kit will not be for sale in any of the club’s shops and is a specific kit to be worn for Tuesday’s match only.<\/p>\n

    “However, supporters should note that this is a one-off shirt and will not be available for purchase.”<\/p>\n

    In a word, yes.<\/p>\n

    Liverpool are more than capable of securing victory against Barcelona on Tuesday evening although whether they can do it by the margin needed is another question entirely.<\/p>\n

    A Champions League night at Anfield is enough to intimidate most European clubs but Barcelona are too experienced to let the Liverpool supporters divert them from their professional duties.<\/p>\n
