Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has named three former teammates who helped inspire him to become the player he is today.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 28-year-old has played his last game for the Gunners as he prepares for life in Italy where he will turn out for Serie A champions Juventus next season.<\/p>\n

  1. Aaron Ramsey joined Arsenal from Cardiff City in 2008 and has enjoyed an 11-year tenure in north London.<\/li>\n
  2. The Welshman has made 369 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 64 goals.<\/li>\n
  3. 13\/14 was his highest scoring campaign, in which he netted 16 goals in 34 games across all competitions, an average of almost one every two matches.<\/li>\n
  4. Ramsey scored two match-winning goals in two separate FA Cup finals, once in 2014 and the other in 2017.<\/li>\n
  5. He won’t be able to play any more matches for Arsenal before his move to Juventus with injury ruling him out for the remainder of the campaign.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Ramsey has enjoyed great success while emerging as one of the Premier League’s most exciting playmakers across the past decade. He has also developed his game alongside some of the most talented stars the league has seen in recent seasons.<\/p>\n

    The Wales international has now named three former Arsenal teammates who were able to inspire him to become the player he is today.\u00a0Thomas Rosicky, Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri were the three that Ramsey listed as his midfield teachers.<\/p>\n

    \u201cI would always watch them closely, especially our midfielders, and would try to take little bits from their games to make myself a more well-rounded player.<\/p>\n

    \u201cTomas\u2019 burst of pace, Samir\u2019s close control, Cesc\u2019s one-touch passing\u2026 I was choosing what I loved from their games and trying to add them all to mine.<\/p>\n

    \u201cIt wasn\u2019t just about watching, though, I knew that I could ask them for advice whenever I needed it and, while all the experienced players would help me, Cesc was the player who would always stand out in training sessions for me.<\/p>\n

    Reflection time for Ramsey<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    With injury ruling him out of action for the rest of the campaign, Ramsey’s time at the Emirates has come to an end.<\/p>\n

    Although he will be joining Serie A champions Juventus who regularly compete in the further points of the Champions League and boast players such as world-great Cristiano Ronaldo, Ramsey is still going to miss the club that has been his home for over a decade.<\/p>\n

    The Welshman believes that he may have taken a few things for granted – including playing with the likes of Rosicky, Nasri and Fabregas – and that his focus on ‘the next game’ may have stopped him enjoying those moments.<\/p>\n

    \u201cLooking back at it now,” he said, “I don\u2019t think you realise how big an impact other people are having on your career at the time.<\/p>\n
