Antonio Conte believes there’s a 60 per cent chance of him coaching in Italy next season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former Chelsea boss is currently unemployed after ending a two-year association with the English club last summer.<\/p>\n

Conte’s managerial career: Five things to know\u2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n

  1. Conte ended a 19-year playing career with Juventus in 2004.<\/li>\n
  2. He would soon begin managing at Arezzo before stints at Bari, Atalanta and Siena.<\/li>\n
  3. Conte returned to Juve in 2011 and won three consecutive league titles before taking charge of the Italian national team.<\/li>\n
  4. He guided Italy to quarter-final finish at Euro 2016, and then joined Chelsea.<\/li>\n
  5. Conte collected one Premier League title and FA Cup in two seasons at Stamford Bridge.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Since leaving Stamford Bridge the 49-year-old coach has been continually linked with a swift return to management.<\/p>\n

    Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and AS Roma are just some of the clubs heavily associated with the Premier League-winning coach.<\/p>\n

    Having taken a year out Conte is now ready to return to management with one destination he’s certain of ending up.<\/p>\n

    Despite being linked with the current French champions and Bundesliga leaders<\/a> Conte feels there’s a strong chance he will be prowling the dugouts of Serie A in 2019\/20.<\/p>\n

    “There’s a good chance [I’ll coach in Italy], as well as abroad,” he told Italia 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    “But there’s also a chance I will stay put. My priority is to get a job at a club that will allow me to fight for titles.<\/p>\n

    “There’s a 60 per cent chance I’ll stay in Italy, 30 per cent chance I’ll go abroad and 10 per cent chance I’ll carry on waiting.”<\/p>\n

    Where could Conte end up?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    If Conte does start work in Italy’s top division next season the question is which of the reported clubs suits him? Inter Milan and Roma, with three matches remaining, are battling for a Champions League berth. At the moment Juventus and Napoli are guaranteed participation.<\/p>\n

    Inter are currently third on 63 points whilst Roma sit fifth with 59; sandwiched between them is the surprise package of Atalanta (62 points). Both clubs have ambitious owners with Roma likely to be looking for a long-term manager as current boss Claudio Ranieri is only there on an interim basis until the end of this season.<\/p>\n

    AC Milan, who remain in Serie A’s top four battle, is an outside possibility. The Rossoneri are seventh, but if they win their game in hand they could leapfrog Roma into fifth, manager Gennaro Gattuso \u2013 despite coming under heavy pressure \u2013 is determined to carry on with no decision yet to be made on his future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
