Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel has criticised Neymar for his altercation with a supporter following their Coupe de France defeat to Rennes on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Parisians had led 2-0 with Neymar notching a goal and an assist but threw their lead away before eventually losing 6-5 on penalties.<\/p>\n

  1. Neymar provided a goal and assist as PSG raced into a 2-0 lead over Rennes.<\/li>\n
  2. However, the Parisians let that lead slip, with Rennes winning 6-5 on penalties after Christopher Nkunku’s miss.<\/li>\n
  3. Neymar subsequently blasted the club’s younger players, blaming them for the defeat.<\/li>\n
  4. The Brazilian then appeared to clash with a fan who was filming PSG players collecting their runner-up medals.<\/li>\n
  5. Tuchel is far from impressed, claiming Neymar “just can’t do that”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Following the game, the Brazil international appeared to lash out at a supporter who had been filming the PSG players as they walked up the stand at the Stade de France to collect their medals.<\/p>\n

    This follows Neymar blasting the club’s youngsters<\/a>, blaming them for the shock defeat.<\/p>\n

    “You can’t get into a fight with a spectator. You just can’t do that,” said<\/a> Tuchel.<\/p>\n

    “It’s not easy to go up the steps after a defeat. It’s very difficult for me, for everybody – but we have to accept it. If we lose, we have to show respect.”<\/p>\n

    Neymar: Nobody likes to lose<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Following the widespread criticism of his actions, Neymar was quick to take to social media in an attempt to defend himself.<\/p>\n

    “Did I act badly?” he asked in an Instagram<\/a> comment. “Yes. But no-one can stay indifferent.”<\/p>\n

    In a separate post on Sunday, the 27-year-old added “nobody likes to lose, so I …” before failing to finish the sentence.<\/p>\n

    “But losing is part of an athlete’s life, makes us grow, makes us think, makes us better. Happy to be able to play again, to score again and feel good on the pitch, but the biggest feeling today is one of sadness.”<\/p>\n

    PSG’s cup final defeat means they have failed to win a single cup competition this season, after losing out in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue and exiting the Champions League at the round-of-16 stage.<\/p>\n

    Despite winning another Ligue 1 title, Tuchel may well be looking nervously over his shoulder after this latest failure.<\/p>\n
