West Ham United captain Mark Noble believes the club’s 1-o victory against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday gives the east Londoners bragging rights “for the rest of time”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Hammers secured three points to strengthen their bid for a top-half finish in the Premier League this season.<\/p>\n

  1. West Ham defeated Tottenham 1-0 to become the first team to win at the club’s new stadium.<\/li>\n
  2. A second-half goal from\u00a0Michail Antonio means he is the first opposition player to score at Spurs’ new ground.<\/li>\n
  3. The Hammers are also the first team to keep a clean sheet at the stadium since its opening.<\/li>\n
  4. Eleventh-placed West Ham are now four points off of both Everton and Watford, in ninth and tenth respectively.<\/li>\n
  5. Spurs failed to secure their place in the top-four but still sit in third.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Speaking to reporters after a great afternoon’s work for the Hammers, club captain Noble admitted the vital win for his side ensures that they will now have bragging rights over their London rivals “for the rest of time”.<\/p>\n

    Noble said<\/a>:\u00a0“The way we played was fantastic.<\/p>\n

    “For the club and especially for the fans, that win is bragging rights. The first team to win here in history.<\/p>\n

    “We\u2019ve always got that in our back pocket now for the rest of time.”<\/p>\n

    “We deserved our win”<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    A great cross from Marko Arnautovic found the on-rushing Antonio who chested the ball down before firing past Hugo Lloris to put the Hammers ahead.<\/p>\n

    Spurs couldn’t find their way back into the match and were left disappointed at the full-time whistle. And Noble believes his side were more than value for the win, with their performance something to be really proud of.<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe way we\u2019ve played, we thoroughly deserved the result today,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

    \u201cTo come here is hard enough as it is, but to play the way that we did was brilliant. I thought we performed really well today and deserved our win.”<\/p>\n
