Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed which teams he enjoys watching play football away from the Merseyside club.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Reds boss has currently got his mind on important matters as Liverpool attempt to win their first league title in 29 years.<\/p>\n

Who are Klopp’s favourite teams? Five things you need to know…<\/strong><\/h2>\n

  1. After retiring from professional football in 2001 at Mainz 05, Klopp was given the opportunity to take over as club manager.<\/li>\n
  2. Guiding Mainz 05 back into the Bundesliga among other achievements convinced Borussia Dortmund to hire Klopp.<\/li>\n
  3. Two Bundesliga titles, two domestic cups and a Champions League final later, the German left the club in 2015 and eventually joined Liverpool.<\/li>\n
  4. The German has admitted he still has a connection with Dortmund, and enjoys watching them play when he can.<\/li>\n
  5. Klopp also praised the playing styles of Premier League rivals Manchester City and Tottenham and Champions League opponents Barcelona.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Speaking to reporters<\/a> about whether he finds time to watch football outside of his commitments on Merseyside, Klopp admitted that there were a few clubs that still attract his attention from a neutral’s perspective.<\/p>\n

    The Reds boss shared his love of his former clubs but also cited two Premier League rivals – Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur – and Champions League semi-final opponents Barcelona as teams he enjoys watching.<\/p>\n

    Klopp said:\u00a0“Whenever I have time I like to watch Dortmund because I’m still connected with them.<\/p>\n

    “Furthermore, there are 3 teams: Man City, Barcelona and Tottenham. I always like to watch them.<\/p>\n

    “[Werder] Bremen I like to watch as well, but also Mainz – with them I’m still connected too. I also think it’s impressive what they play under Sandro Schwarz.”<\/p>\n

    Can Liverpool still win the league?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Manchester City’s vital 2-0 victory away to arch-rivals Manchester United has certainly dented spirits in the red half of Merseyside.<\/p>\n

    With just three games remaining, Liverpool are second in the Premier League and one point behind Pep Guardiola’s City side who now have the title race in their control.<\/p>\n

    Before Liverpool can dream of City dropping points in the final stretch, the Reds need to ensure they pick up a maximum nine points to keep the pressure on the reigning champions.<\/p>\n

    Liverpool face Huddersfield Town, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, with wins in all three matches most likely needed to keep pace with City.<\/p>\n
